We are on the discharge list. We still have to wait for the doctor to actually sign the papers.
Dad was up and had some breakfast. He ate about 2/3 of his eggs and a little bit of the sausage. He had both oj's. The room here is freezing. The nurse called engineering and asked them to raise the temp. Dad reported he was not seeing very well today. That made him a little weepy. He didn't want to go for a walk. He took his morning meds and is now back to sleep.
We wait for the hospital wheels to turn....

The nurse here Tamekia has been the most helpful. Her aunt or cousin (not sure) named Roxanne is an LVN at Rosewood. Maybe this will be helpful.
ReplyDeleteDad will be in room 1301B at Rosewood. Rosewood's Skilled Nursing facility is located at 1401 New Stine Road. Dad's phone at Rosewood is 661-835-4258. We are hoping to move dad in an hour, about 3:00.
ReplyDeleteDad got to Rosewood about 3:30, where they took some quick vitals and then Tom, Deb and I took Dad on a tour of the facility. About 5:30 we headed over to the main dining hall for dinner where Dad met some new friends and had dinner with them. He said the food was good, but didn't eat much except the soup, even passing up on the apple pie.
ReplyDeleteDad walked back to his room with the aid of a wheel chair as a walker. He did well. He settled in and we said good nite about 6:45.
